    The success of the Marshall Plan angered Russia. It decided to try another way to force the United States out of the Germany. Berlin is located a hundred miles inside the Russia zone. In 1948, Russia stopped all trains, cars and boats trying to go to Berlin. this was known as the Berlin Blockade. The Russia hoped to starve Berlin into giving up. But the United State surprised Russia. For about a year, everything needed to supply the city of 2 million people was flow in. the Russia did not dare attack the American planes. finally, Russia gave up and lifted the Blockade.
