RE: Why are bells made of metal and not of Wood?

Help me to know why all bells made of metal and not of Wood.

Because the median required for the propagation of sound must have low damping, since the wood has high damping, it rapidly dampens the vibration. On other side, metal has low damping. For this reason, bells are made of metal and not of wood.
