Answer.

Evolution is the study which deals with the gradual change of living organisms either at once or in a periodic of time in order to adapt to their environment.

There are five main theories that have been put forward to explain the origin of life on the earth, this include;-

(a) Special creation theory: This theory state that “Everything on the earth was created by supernatural power either at once or in a period of time and the man was the last creature to be created”.  This theory does not accept by scientifically because the scientist people believe that everything come from non living matter.

(b) Spontaneous generation theory: This theory state that “The life from the earth arose form non living matter”. This theory was challenged by region believer assisting that supernatural power create all every thing on the earth.

(c) Steady state theory: The theory state that “The life on the earth has no origin”. This theory does not believe the presence or absence of fossil it show the origin of life on the earth surface.

(d) Cosmozoan theory: The theory state that “The life form this planet arose from the universe”. This theory has no more explanation about the origin of life on the earth.

(e) Biochemical reaction theory: This theory state that “the life on the earth come from physically and chemical reaction”. For example, The reaction between methane, ammonia, hydrogen gas, carbon dioxide and water vapour form the atmosphere, due to high temperature from the earth result to formation of organic compound.
Continuation of high temperature the organic compound lead to the formation of amino acid which is the basic components of life then amino acid combine to form species. This theory does not show how and why amino acid combines to form new species.
