Teamwork is a joint action done by a group of people (team) with a common goal. A team comprises any group of people with a common purpose. A group in itself does not necessary constitute a team. However there are many components that up a team like managers and agents.

The notion of teamwork does not mean that the individual is no longer important, it means that effective and efficient teamwork goes beyond individual accomplishment. The most effective teamwork is produced when all individuals work together to achieve a common goal.

To effectively achieve the goals of an organization, all the people should combine their efforts. If everyone does his/her job well, and then it increases what the team can accomplish. Teamwork has to be recognized by everyone knowing that great things happen if individuals work together as one unit. Everyone has a unique role, but each individual role must be recognized and appreciated.
