a. Cerebrum; this is the largest part of the brain. It is highly fielded in order to increase the brain surface area. Cerebrum control learning, thought, intelligence, reasoning, imagination, memory, will power, vision, speech and taste.

b. Cerebellum; Cerebellum is located in front of the medulla oblongata. Cerebellum controls posture, movement and balance.

c. Medulla Oblongata; this is central part of the autonomous nerve system. This is the brain stem and has center which control mainly unconscious activities such as regulation of body temperature, blood pressure, rate of heartbeat, breathing, sneezing, coughing, vomiting, swallowing, salivation, hearing, taste and touch.

d. Hypothalamus; this part is concerned with body temperature and osmoregulation. This part if the brain is also responsible for involuntary activities such as appetite and sleep.

e. Pituitary gland; this is the master of endocrine glands. Pituitary gland secret a number if hormones which control osmoregulation, growth, metabolism, and sexual development.
